How to use the Speaker with USB/Memory Stick

INSTRUCTIONS FOR NEW LISTENERS:

Use of USB Player

YOU SHOULD FIND THIS INSTRUCTION INCLUDED IN THE BOX IF YOU ARE A NEW LISTENER:

You may require the assistance of a sighted relative or friend to help you find the socket on the top of the player where you plug in the USB memory stick.

You will find a large yellow knob on the front of the Speaker box. Turn it to the right to switch it on . The further you turn will increase the volume.

The Speaker contains a rechargeable battery.  When it eventually fades just plug in the charger: the mini jack fits into the Speaker and the three pin plug goes into the normal household electricity socket.

The USB player is being supplied to you free of charge, but it remains the property of North Cornwall Talking Newspaper.  If for any reason you no longer require the Player it must be returned to us at the same address that you use to return your USB stick.   It can be sent Post Free if you mark it as Articles for the Blind - Post Free or by contacting the Co-Ordinators or Secretary.

When you receive the USB Memory stick you will have an extra week in which to return it.  After that, if you fail to return your memory sticks you will be contacted to find out the reason why.  If it’s because you no longer want the local Talking News then we will require the return of the Player.

If you require further information, please contact either the Co-Ordinators or Secretary.
